In 1951, when tasked with restyling The Skotch Kooler, designer Petra Cabot set out to create “the best-looking bucket anybody ever saw.” The bold yet classic Skotch tartan soon became a staple of every stylish mid-century household, and—lucky for the rest of us—it’s still just as fresh and fun today.
